Collection, 1861-1868 and undated.

The collection consists of two letters written by Morrison and oversize materials. One letter, dated June 17, 1868 discusses his father's health and conditions at Davidson College. The second letter was written to Henry Louis Smith about Davidson after the Civil War. The oversize materials include a certificate of pardon from the United States Government; diplomas from Davidson College, the Philanthropic and Dialetic societies; and a land bounty deed from Alexander Lynn to Morrison, signed by Abraham Lincoln (August 1, 1861.).

Robert Hall Morrison was the son of Dr. Robert H. Morrison, the first president of Davidson College. He was graduated from Davidson College in 1868.
